I'm sitting here thinking of all the times I could have used your “Prayer of a Parent” when I was raising my three children. I somehow muddled through, though, and I think they turned out pretty darned good! But, do you know what? If they should be blessed with their own children, now that they are at that stage of their lives, I’m going to make sure that they get a copy of Prayer of a Parent to refer to time and time again. Honestly, ‘Prayer of a Parent’ is an inspired gift to us all. I thank you for that - you’ve done a good thing, a very, very good thing.

I just came home from a week at “camp” with five seventh graders to find an email alerting me to “Family Inspiration Network.” For a pastor, there is nothing like a week at camp living among 300 middle schoolers to remind you of the importance of good parenting and the lack thereof. Regarding future developments, it might be interesting / helpful for our kids to read “Prayer of a Child.” Also, in that same idea, it might be inspirational to read an adult version of “Prayer of a Child” as we think about caring for our senior parents.
